Shaun King is an American writer, activist, and entrepreneur who founded Hope Mob in 2012 with a revolutionary vision: uniting hundreds of thousands of generous strangers online to transform lives through collective generosity.
A graduate of Morehouse College and named an Oprah Winfrey Scholar, Shaun earned his Master's degree in History from Arizona State University. His work has been featured in O Magazine, CNN, Mashable, and numerous major publications.
Throughout his career, Shaun has been a prominent voice in the Black Lives Matter movement and has contributed to Daily Kos, the New York Daily News, and The Young Turks. He co-founded Real Justice PAC in 2018 to help elect progressive prosecutors, and launched The North Star in 2019.

Leroy Barber is a passionate leader, activist, pastor, author, and social entrepreneur with over 25 years of experience working to confront poverty, heal racial divisions, support underserved communities, and build what Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. called the "beloved community."
As Director of Hope Mob, Leroy focuses on lifting up stories and initiatives that often go unnoticed and underfunded, helping community-based changemakers access the resources they need to create positive, lasting impact.
Leroy brings a deep commitment to equity, compassion, and restorative transformation. He uses his voice and leadership to challenge systemic barriers, promote inclusion in the nonprofit sector, and support grassroots efforts that advance justice and hope.
